Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca)
From June until August, this tall, dynamic native perennial produces clusters of flowers, each a nectar filled horn-shaped cup. A food source for many insect species, milkweed is most noted for its vital role in the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly.
